Bergent seeks to source metals from industrial off-cut generators, automotive dismantlers, electrical recycling businesses, HVAC recyclers, demolition contractors and metal merchants in Europe, the UK, the US and the Middle East. Categories currently traded: 9.

Inspection & Certification

Independent survey arranged where required

Where required, Bergent may arrange independent third-party inspection at origin. The surveyor grades material to ISRI standards and issues chemical assay reports (fire assay, ICP-OES, or XRF depending on material type) and radiometric clearance certificates for ferrous lots.

Trading & Logistics

FOB, CFR, and CIF into Pakistan

Bergent quotes FOB, CFR, and CIF terms and coordinates freight through vessel brokers and freight forwarders. Shipments are delivered into Karachi KPT and Port Qasim. Payment terms are LC at sight or 30-day net for approved counterparties.

Compliance and licences

Bergent works within the compliance frameworks below, applied as each shipment requires.

  • Shipments documented against Basel Convention non-hazardous requirements
  • Material graded to ISRI standards with independent third-party assay
  • Radiometric screening and NORM/gamma clearance for ferrous cargo
  • EU waste shipment regulation 1013/2006 procedures for EU-origin cargo
  • Container fumigation arranged where the destination requires it

Compliance

Document sets agreed per contract

The document package covering grade certificates, weight tickets, radiometric clearances, and customs paperwork is agreed before shipment, in line with destination-country import requirements.
