Process
How the supplier trade works.
Enquiry
Submit an enquiry with material type, approximate tonnage, and country of origin. A Bergent trader responds within 1 business day with a provisional offer.
Sampling & grading agreement
We agree ISRI grade and quality parameters. For large lots, an independent third-party inspector may be nominated at origin for pre-shipment sampling and assay.
Contract & payment terms
We issue a purchase contract with agreed price (LME-indexed or firm), Incoterm (FOB, CFR, or CIF), and payment terms — typically LC at sight or 30-day net.
Loading & inspection
Material is loaded at origin. Where contracted, an independent inspector supervises loading and issues weighbridge tickets and inspection certificates at the loading port.
Payment on documents
Payment is released on presentation of original Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, and inspection/assay report to the agreed bank.

Documentation
Inspection, assay, radiometric clearance — where the contract requires it.
An independent surveyor — for example SGS or Bureau Veritas — may be nominated at the loading port. Inspection cost is shared per the agreed Incoterm. A radiometric scan is standard on ferrous cargoes.
